Linda Bush - cad tutor and garden designer
Award winning garden designer
Linda Bush studied Garden Design at the highly regarded Inchbald School of Design in London, where she was awarded the course director’s prize for her year. She then worked with international award-winning garden and landscape designer Christopher Bradley-Hole, before setting up on her own. Linda has planted two gold medal winning gardens at the Chelsea Flower Show, one for Andy Sturgeon, and the other for Philip Nixon & Marcus Barnett, and she achieved a bronze medal for her first Show Garden design at Chelsea in 2007.
Linda uses SketchUp to design and present her designs in 3D. This allows her clients to imagine walking through their new garden and to fully appreciate how the design will look after construction and planting.
Experienced CAD & Computer tutor
Formally a project manager in the City, Linda now uses her training and computer skills to teach Architects and Garden Designers CAD and computer software - AutoCAD 2008, VectorWorks Landmark 2008, Google SketchUp 6 Pro, Adobe Photoshop CS3, and Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
Linda is highly computer literate and has the ability to explain the principles and step-by-step instructions of the various CAD and computer packages to beginners. More importantly, since she is a professional garden designer she understands which key functionalities can improve the efficiency of a design practice.
Linda prefers to work with individual designers on a one-to-one basis, at their pace and in their office. Clients tend to be within 100 miles of Beckenham, Kent. Linda also teaches CAD to garden design students at the University of Greenwich and Hadlow College.
